Die Villa befindet sich in der Contrada Aguglie, etwa 4 km von der barocken Stadt Modica entfernt.
Der Eingang zur Villa ist leicht zu erkennen durch die monumentalen Säulen, die mit den Adelswappen geschmückt sind und an der Spitze zwei charakteristische Spitzen tragen, die nicht nur den Namen der Villa tragen, sondern auch die Contrada markieren.
Wenn Sie aus Catania kommen, empfiehlt es sich, die Staatsstraße Nr. 194 nach Modica zu nehmen und dann auf der Staatsstraße 115 nach Ispica weiterzufahren. Nach 4,00 km von Modica entfernt (an der Kreuzung "Beneventano") fahren Sie auf der Provinzstraße nach Pozzallo und nach etwa 100 m auf der rechten Seite der Straße gelangen Sie über einen Eingang mit großen Säulen zur Villa.
Fast alle Karten zeigen den Standort der Villa als "Case Aguglie".
You will need a car if you stay here. The location was excellent for visiting alot of interesting towns and beaches. It is a beautiful old country villa which has been lovingly restored which has a well kept and attractive garden. The Host Ester is a friendly lady who tried to help with any problems, lending us a beach umbrella, which was really needed.
There is no view from the apartment, as the walls of the garden are to high. If the apartment was on the 1st floor there would be excellent views available, but the 1st floor was not available to guests. The apartment has a kitchen which is only just usable. For the price I expected a much higher quality of cooking utensils. The pots and pans should have been thrown out years ago, lots of old tired aluminium pans/frying pans. There was no proper kettle to boil water. The fridge was large and modern, but there was no oven, grill, microwave or coffee machine. As no breakfast was offered we would have appreciated better apartment facilities. The bedroom has a good fan, but no air con. It was just about ok without it. The bathroom is small with a small shower, but was adequate for us. Two definate advantages are the secure car parking and the very nice swimming pool.
All in all, we enjoyed our time here, just the cooking was a problem. If you eat out then it won't bother you.

Abbiamo soggiornato a Villa Aguglie a fine agosto 2020 con i nostri tre figli.
Abbiamo un ricordo molto piacevole di quella settimana. Gli appartamenti sono semplici ma accoglienti, curati e alcuni anche decorati.
Il giardino è meraviglioso per i profumi, le aiuole, gli alberi da frutto, il verde e la quiete che infonde.
Bellissima la piscina, quasi ad uso personale, in alternanza con gli altri ospiti.
La posizione è ottima per visitare le zone circostanti: Modica, Ragusa, Noto, Siracusa, i tanti luoghi di bel mare.
Per ultimo, ma non per importanza, vogliamo ringraziare la Signora Ester che ci ha accolto con marcata gentilezza, cultura e disponibilità.

Mi preme innanzitutto precisare la tipologia della struttura: una Villa ottocentesca situata tra pozzallo e Modica in un contesto ameno dove la natura fa da padrona.
La villa si presenta in ottime condizioni, ammirarla è un piacere per gli occhi.
Appena entrati nel cortile sembra di essere un altra epoca, vasi pieni di piante e fiori, inebriano i sensi.
L’appartamento, essenziale, ma dotato di tutti i confort è arredato con gusto rispettando l’ambiente della Villa in cui si trova.
La piscina antistante alla Villa è il posto perfetto per rilassarsi e rigenerarsi.
Ma un plauso particolare va alla padrona di casa Esther che ci ha fatto sentire a casa nostra in tutto e per tutto e mantiene la villa un posto bellissimo.
